Day 35
Alright, it’s American Thanksgiving and not to sound all disinterested or nothin’ but we already had one. My mom and Roger cooked dinner and we ate like kings. Nothing compares to that kind of shin dig. So today feels a bit redundant. Instead of writing about a day based upon a holiday that is completely disputable, I am going to serenade you with something more interesting....
Happy Thanksgiving. (via Vimeo)

Ten Things We Learned About the RV Lifestyle in...
Well good golly, we’ve just passed the one month mark of this little journey. Things are going strong. We’ve managed to drum up enough work to keep some gas in the tank, launched a (sort of) new website, and have managed to keep up with documenting the silly and the stupid for-all-ten-of-you charming people who read this blog.
As with any experience in life worth living, we’ve...

Letting in Strays
Hey, we just uploaded The Stray Muse!! So proud of this release. This is our first baby together. Luckily it missed those awkward teenage years. Teenagers, ack.

Day 29 Almost a full month in travel paradise!
First, a huge thank you to the noble and gracious Ed Shahinian from the Ace Hotel, Seattle. He took the time to ship us a package that had been chasing us down the coast since the beginning of October. Thanks Ed, and thanks for following our adventures. We lucked out at the Ace!
As the sun perched on our shoulders we stopped for tantalizing bread...

Day 26
We pulled into sunny San Francisco. I repeat: sunny. It is fandamntastic here. The fresh wafting odour of salt and fish and just a hint of sewage is a sure sign that this city is alive and breathing. We have been waiting for this for a month. And let it be known from Santa Rosa northward to the tip of California, there is nothing. There are no cities worth visiting (feel free to contest...

Assume the Position
We awoke to the fiery sun smashing through our bedroom windows like John McLean swinging from the fire hose. The warmth dried our spirits and recharged our optimism. To take advantage of this glorious day we attempted to get out of this desolate RV park and head towards some form of modern civilization.
A couple hours later, there we were, hiking down the 101 en route to the nearest town,...

Day 564 (Just seein’ if you’re paying attention)
I think it’s actually Day 23 —and I think that makes it 20 days of rain. Seriously???? What’s with this unnatural watershed? Only the Redwoods need it. But I never opened my mouth. So don’t give it to me.
We’re going slightly batty. We’ve made it as far as Crescent City, California, so we figured...

We took a little break from driving today to take in the view of the Oregon coast. (via Vimeo)

Day 19
So much rain!! Thought we might consider pitching a condo up here one day, but since we feel like a pair of wet carpets, we may have changed our minds. At any rate, we are headed for sunnier ground very soon.
We managed to coax our scooter, Isabella, out between breaks in the clouds to do two things today: 1. Visit the Velveteria, an assortment of over 400 hand painted velvet...

Day 17 (gonna start addressing this as I am developing date amnesia)
So we made it to Vancouver. Vancouver Washington. About 7 miles from Portland. It seemed like a great place to refuel. Walter doesn’t need it, but we sure do. After three days of boondocking (see sitting in an empty parking lot and relying on battery power and a generator to keep you warm, clean, and out of the dark), we...

Leavin' Leavenworth
So we are sick. Again. This time we both have head colds which we never have at the same time. Try navigating Walter down narrow slits of highway when you don’t even have your head attached to your shoulders. That’s why no writing happened last night. Sick and exhausted.
But to catch you up to speed (Achoo), we had quite a few adventures! Yesterday morning we had to check out of the...
